Located at the foot of the MacDonnell Ranges, a must see attraction in Alice Springs for all outback visitors is Alice Springs Desert Park. About 10 min drive from Alice in the Territory Motel via Bradshaw Drive and Larapinta Drive.

The park has 3 km walking track that will take you through three re-created desert habitat areas, Desert Rivers, Sand Country, and Woodland. There are many bird enclosures along the walking tracks. Alice Springs has lots of birds that are unique in the outback. See and learn about them by listen to the audio guides while you wonder around the park.

One of the highlights of the park is the “Birds of Prey Show” in the Nature Theatre. Free flying birds showcasing their natural behaviours.

Take an evening tour, visit the Nocturnal House, home to many Central Australian reptiles, invertebrates, birds, and mammals that come to live at night.
